AdhikMaas.com (“the Website,” “we,” “us”) is a free educational and devotional resource. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the limited personal data we collect. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information You Provide

• Email address — when you subscribe to receive daily stories. This is required to deliver emails.
• First name — only if you create or join a Family Reading Circle. Used to display your name to other family members in the group.
• Family group name — only if you create a Family Reading Circle. Visible to anyone with the group link.

Information Collected Automatically

• Browser timezone — detected automatically at signup so we can deliver your daily email at an appropriate local time. We do not collect your location.
• Reading progress — which days you mark as “read” is stored in your browser’s local storage. If you verify your email, this progress can optionally be synced to our server for cross-device access.
• Standard server logs — our hosting infrastructure (AWS CloudFront) records standard access logs including IP addresses, timestamps, and pages requested. These logs are used for security and performance monitoring and are not linked to your identity.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not use cookies
• We do not collect location data (beyond your browser’s timezone)
• We do not track clicks, scrolls, time on page, or other behavioral analytics
• We do not collect payment information (this is a free service)
• We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13

2. How We Use Your Information

• Email address: to send you one daily story each morning during Adhik Maas (May 17 – June 15, 2026) and occasional pre-launch communications
• Timezone: to schedule email delivery at an appropriate local time
• Reading progress: to show you which days you’ve completed and to display your progress in your Family Reading Circle (if you’ve joined one)
• First name: to identify you within your Family Reading Circle (visible only to others in your group)

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing to third parties, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the service described above.

3. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Your data is processed by the following service providers, solely to operate the Website:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure for hosting, email delivery, data storage, and content delivery.
• Google Fonts — web fonts loaded for typography. Google Fonts does not set cookies or collect personal data.

If we enable analytics in the future (such as Google Analytics or Plausible Analytics), we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

If you use the WhatsApp share or copy link features, the sharing happens entirely on your device. No data is sent to our servers when you share.

4. Data Retention

• Email subscriptions: your email address and associated data are retained for as long as your subscription is active. If you unsubscribe, we retain a record of your unsubscription to ensure we do not re-send emails to you.
• Verification codes: one-time verification codes are automatically deleted after 10 minutes.
• Reading progress: retained for as long as you use the service. Local browser data is under your control and can be cleared at any time.
• Family Reading Circles: group data is retained indefinitely. To request deletion, contact us at support@adhikmaas.com.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS for all connections)
• Encryption at rest (AWS-managed encryption for stored data)
• Access controls limiting who can access the infrastructure

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Your Rights

All Users

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the one-click unsubscribe link included in every email
• Request deletion of all your data by emailing support@adhikmaas.com
• Clear local data by clearing your browser’s local storage for adhikmaas.com

European Union Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to: access your data, rectify inaccurate data, erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information.
